Buffer Device

  • Superior Belt Protection Against Tearing — Longitudinal buffer strip orientation runs parallel to belt travel, actively preventing belt ripping under heavy drop loads
  • Full Belt Surface Support — The bed structure supports the entire belt width across the loading zone, eliminating belt sag and edge overflow
  • Excellent Sealing & Anti-Spillage — Full contact between belt and buffer strips prevents material leakage and effectively stops belt mistracking at the feed point
  • Outstanding Overall Cushioning Effect — Scientifically structured bed frame delivers uniform, full-coverage impact absorption superior to conventional idler-group solutions
  • Ultra-High Molecular Weight Buffer Strips — UHMWPE strips combine extreme wear resistance with low friction, allowing smooth belt passage and extending service intervals
  • Adjustable Groove Angle (0°– 45°) — Both sides of the bed frame are fitted with angle adjustment devices, allowing groove angle fine-tuning to suit any conveyor trough geometry

Product Introduction

The Buffer Device — also known as a Buffer Press or Impact Bed — is a critical conveyor component installed directly beneath the material loading zone where bulk materials fall from chutes, hoppers, or transfer points onto the moving belt. At these points, uncontrolled impact forces are the primary cause of belt cover tearing, carcass damage, premature edge wear, and material spillage. Conventional impact idler groups address this problem partially; Minsenmine’s buffer press solves it completely.

High-quality ultra-high molecular weight buffer strips are combined with: a scientifically designed bed structure, ensuring smooth and stable operation of the buffer bed and a long service life.

The adjustable-angle buffer bed has angle adjustment devices on both sides of the bed body, allowing for free adjustment of the angle of the slot from 0 to 45 degrees.

The spring-type buffer bed is equipped with springs on the base: a shock absorption device, which further reduces the impact force of the falling material on the belt.

The composite heavy-duty buffer bed is suitable for situations where the material weight and particle size are large, the conveyor angle is steep, and the belt speed is high at the discharge point.

Product Structure & Working Principle

From bed frame to buffer strip — how each component works together to absorb impact and protect your belt.

Steel Bed Frame

The bed frame is fabricated from structural steel sections and precisely formed to match the conveyor’s trough angle.

UHMWPE Buffer Strips

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene buffer strips are mounted longitudinally along the top face of the bed frame.

Spring Damping Base

The spring-type buffer press incorporates a set of calibrated compression springs between the bed frame and the conveyor structure mounting points.

Side Sealing System

Flexible skirting seals are mounted along both sides of the buffer press, maintaining consistent contact with the belt edges throughout the loading zone.
